The College endorses continued medical education (CME) providers to ensure our members have access to a library of quality courses, events and online activities to meet their continuing professional development (CPD) requirements.

Why be professionally endorsed?

Endorsed providers can promote their activities on our events page to Fellows and registrars in training for Fellowship (GPEP programme). Endorsed providers have the advantage of the College endorsed CPD activity logo when advertising their event.

How to be endorsed

The process starts with an application, which is weighed against a set of standards set by the College guidelines.

While endorsed providers get complimentary event posts, non CME-endorsed events cost $270+GST to be listed on the College website. See our advertising rate card for more information.

What kind of provider are you?

Providers belong in one of six categories:

1. Single event endorsement
Endorsement for a one-off occurrence like an international speaker or an annual conference.

2. Regular event endorsement
A one-year endorsement for repeated events like a course or series of topics from the same provider.

3. Registered provider endorsement
For organisations that already work closely with doctors such as a Primary Health Organisation.

4. E-learning provider endorsement
Any providers offering education over the internet such as BMJ Learning are e-learning providers. Please read the standard for e-learning providers before applying.

5. Resuscitation skills courses
All College members must maintain their resuscitation skills to a level appropriate to their practice and must use a standard for resuscitation. Please read the standard for Resuscitation skills programmes before applying.

6. Audit of medical practice endorsement
For organisations seeking endorsements for Audits for medical practice.
