Medical Educator roles in the Waikato and Auckland region
Medical education is an important part of the College’s core purpose and we have a large, dedicated team tasked with providing quality education for those undertaking our specialist training programme.
We are currently recruiting College Fellows interested in becoming Medical Educators for our first-year registrars on our General Practice Education Programme (GPEP1). The role of the Medical Educator includes:
- Education delivery: Working with the Lead Medical Educator to coordinate the training programme and deliver seminars for GPEP1 registrars in their region
- Undertake small group facilitation: Delivering practical sessions at seminar, communication, and learning group training days
- In-Practice visits
- Mentoring/pastoral care: Supporting registrars in the designated region
