Becoming a teaching practice

To become a teaching practice, you must first: 

  1. Be CORNERSTONE® accredited 
  2. Complete an application and send it to gpep1@rnzcgp.org.nz
  3. Be approved by the College and undergo a practice visit.

GPEP teachers

Understand how to become a GP teacher or work for the College as a medical educator.

While GPEP 2/3 registrars seek employment themselves, GPEP1 registrars are mostly employed by the College and are allocated to two practices in the first year.
