TGA report

Breast implant warning

On 21 December the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) released a report that shows a slight increase in the risk of a rare cancer, anaplastic large cell lymphoma, for women who have breast implants.  The Ministry of Health says no immediate action needs to be taken if a person with breast implants is well, but if they have pain or swelling, or are concerned, they should contact their GP or surgeon.  For more information, visit the Medsafe website.
