Lead Medical Educator roles in Auckland region
Medical education is an important part of the College’s core purpose and we have a large, dedicated team tasked with providing quality education for those undertaking our specialist training programme.
We are currently recruiting College Fellows interested in becoming a Lead Medical Educator for our first year registrars on our General Practice Education Programme (GPEP1). The role of the Lead Medical Educator is to:
- Lead education delivery: Includes coordinating the training programme and delivery of seminars for GPEP1 registrars in their region
- Undertake small group facilitation: Through delivering practical sessions at seminar, communication, and learning group training days
- Personal development planning: Developing and implementing professional development plans for each Medical Educator in the designated region
- Mentoring/pastoral care: Supporting registrars in the designated region
