Quality programme update – feedback received

27 August 2019

Our pilot is progressing well and with only five weeks left until 1 October, there’s not long to get your feedback in. So far, pilot practices and other stakeholders have contributed nearly 500 feedback points - mainly across the Foundation Standard and CORNERSTONE® Teaching modules.

Chart A below shows the range and types of feedback received.

Areas we can see that need addressing are:

  • Practices are concerned that this new draft is more labour-intensive and prescriptive than before
  • Practices are confused about the type, amount and level of training required
  • Practices are unsure about what to do
All feedback is being triaged and for some changes and our Advisory Group will assist in finalising the relevant indicator, criteria and/or guidance.

We’re looking for feedback – particularly on the CQI and General Practice modules, so please let us know what you think about the process, content or other related topics by emailing standards@rnzcgp.org.nz.

We’ve set up a hints and tips page for the Foundation Standard module pilot, please check there in the first instance if there’s something you’re not sure about.
