The College represents members’ views with government and health sector organisations on issues relating to general practice, the health system and the health of New Zealanders.
Today the College is launching a manifesto by Dr Samantha Murton, and collaborators, that outlines a future-focused view for how community medicine could best be equitable and accessible, and how it needs to be supported to achieve that.
The piece was inspired by the lessons GPs learnt during the COVID-19 response while waiting for the final report of the Government’s Health and Disability System Review.
