The senior management team leads College staff to achieve our strategic aims of growing the GP workforce, setting quality standards for practices, representing our members and contributing to equitable health care for all New Zealanders.

Lynne Hayman 

Chief Executive 

 

Lynne is a chartered accountant by profession and has over 15 years of experience as a corporate executive across multiple industries. Lynne provides management and oversight to the College on implementing its statement of  strategic intent, Te Rautaki. She manages the overall operations and resources of the College, acting as the main point of communication between members and the Board.

Kylie McQuellin

Head of Membership Services

Kylie is an experienced executive manager who has delivered business transformation and improvement initiatives across a variety of sectors. As Head of Membership Services she leads the College’s Continuing Professional Development, Quality, Advocacy and Insights, and Communications and Events teams.

Te Oraiti Reedy (Ngāti Porou)

Tumuaki and Head of Equity

A former education lecturer and advisor, Te Oraiti worked for the NZQA before turning to IT project and programme management. Before joining the College she was Tumuaki of Te Ohu Rata o Aotearoa – Māori Medical Practitioners Association.

Leah Pearless

Head of Corporate Services 



Leah is a senior leader whose strengths lie in process improvement, change and project management. As Head of Corporate Services she leads the College's Finance, Project Management, Information Communication Technology, and Human Resources and Services teams.

Julia Hennessy 

Head of Learning



Julia leads the Learning Group made up of four teams: Academic Assurance, Admissions and Registrar Support, Delivery GPEP 1 and Delivery Advanced Registrars. Julia oversees the delivery of the College's education programmes: the General Practice Education Programme (GPEP) and the Rural Hospital Medicine (DRHM) training programme. Julia has considerable experience in the health and tertiary education sector and her wealth of knowledge in these areas is an asset to the College
