GP representative for NZ Resuscitation Council

A chance to represent GPs on the New Zealand Resuscitation Council

Maintaining a valid resuscitation certification is a current recertification requirement for all GPs. The NZ Resuscitation Council sets the standards for resuscitation and first aid in New Zealand, and they have asked the College to nominate a GP to join its Council.

This is a leadership opportunity where you will be representing our membership and speaking on behalf of general practitioners at a national level. Should activity with this advisory group align with your identified learning needs, you may also claim CPD points.

In this role as a Council member, you would be involved in developing and commenting on resuscitation and first aid guidelines and training requirements for a range of clinicians including general practitioners.

This is a valuable opportunity to provide a voice for your fellow General Practitioners to improve the quality of resuscitation standards in New Zealand.

Meetings are in Wellington three times a year, for two-days, with additional time required in preparation for meetings.

Payment for time and expenses is unavailable for this role. View the terms of reference.

If you would like to be considered for this role, please email your completed application form and CV to angelique.collins@rnzcgp.org.nz by 6 March 2020.
