Conference

Our theme for 2024 is Ko te tumanako me haere tahi tatou: hope moves us forward together.

We will be tackling some of the big ideas – what does success look like, regarding reform of the health system? How do we step up as leaders to address bias and inequities where we see them? How do we develop that leadership and become agents of change? And how do we maintain our health while doing this, in an increasingly difficult work environment?

Joining us to discuss these issues will be a group of inspiring speakers including Keriana Brooking, Director-General of Health, Dr Diana Sarfati, Sir Peter Gluckman and Rob Campbell. We are expecting some lively debate with RNZ’s Kathryn Ryan to facilitate. Other topics to be explored include the experiences of IMGs (international medical graduates) in Aotearoa, ‘workforce wellness’, building a sustainable and representative workforce, and a look at how we can mitigate medicine’s impacts on climate.

Early bird registration here until 1 March 2024.
