Advice on ‘abortion reversal’

Claims that medical abortion can be ‘reversed’ by a dose of progesterone after a woman has taken the first medical abortion medication are not based on reputable scientific evidence. The College upholds views by other medical Colleges’ that the promotion of the term ‘abortion reversal is ‘unproven and unethical’ based on the strength of evidence.

To try and find out more about the causes of burnout and how it might be addressed, the College decided to facilitate an online ‘discussion’ with its members using Polis, a digital tool designed to gather open-ended feedback from large groups.
