2016 General practice workforce survey - ownership & employment report

This is the second of four reports from The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners’ (the College’s) 2016 workforce survey. It shows that despite predictions about the growing popularity of employment versus ownership, and about the growth of commercial ownership of general practices, the GP-owner model is still dominant.

Claims that medical abortion can be ‘reversed’ by a dose of progesterone after a woman has taken the first medical abortion medication are not based on reputable scientific evidence. The College upholds views by other medical Colleges’ that the promotion of the term ‘abortion reversal is ‘unproven and unethical’ based on the strength of evidence.
