Runs to complete before applying for GPEP

To apply for GPEP you must have completed two postgraduate years experience in rotating hospital runs (a total of 8 runs) by the time you start your first year of specialisation.

  • Community based attachment (which is not General Practice based)
  • Dermatology
  • Hospital Based emergency medicine (can have two runs)
  • Ear, nose and throat surgery
  • General medicine – please specify (can have two runs)
  • General surgery – please specify
  • Geriatrics (can have two runs)
  • Haematology • Immunology
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Obstetrics and gynaecology (can have two runs)
  • Oncology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopaedics
  • Paediatrics (can have two runs)
  • Palliative Care
  • Plastics
  • Psychiatry (can have two runs)
  • Rehabilitation
  • Reliever run (one run only)
  • Renal
  • Respiratory
  • Rheumatology
  • Rural general practice (can have two runs)
