11.5 Portable emergency equipment

Portable emergency equipment and medicines must be stored in a single location which is accessible to team members. The emergency trolley /cabinet or bag must be made secure so the general public cannot access the contents. The contents (equipment and medicines) must be stock checked monthly with records kept of dates and the person(s) responsible.

11.5 The practice ensures portable emergency equipment including emergency medicines, specified in Appendix 1, are stored in a single secure location readily accessible by all clinicians.
